Dr. Jay L. Falk is Professor of Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, Clinical Professor of Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine and University of South Florida College of Medicine, and Clinical Professor of Clinical Sciences at the Florida State University College of Medicine. He also sits on the Orlando Campus Board of Directors for the Florida State University College of Medicine and serves as Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs (Orlando Health) for the University of Central Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Falk is the Chief Academic Medical Officer and Designated Institutional Official for Orlando Health and Academic Chairman for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Orlando Regional Medical Center, and is board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Falk has been honored by the Society of Critical Care Medicine as one of only a handful of recipients of the Shubin-Weil award, recognizing him as a national role model as a practitioner and teacher of ethical critical care medicine.

In his current role of Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Falk oversees the training of 250 residents and fellows as well as the practice of a large full-time faculty. He practices emergency medicine at Orlando Regional Medical Center and Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital.

In addition to participating as a Shepherd’s Hope board member, Dr. Falk volunteers as a physician at one of the Shepherd’s Hope Health Centers.
