Each year we choose an especially outstanding volunteer for the award named in honor of Ruth McKeefery. This year’s winner of the Dr. Ruth M. McKeefery Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service is Rose Beavers of our Apopka Shepherd’s Hope.
Dr. Karl W. Isaacs was presented the 2006 Dr. Ruth McKeefery Volunteer of the Year Award at the Call to Hope Luncheon on April 24, 2007.
Shepherd's Hope celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Valentine’s Day February 14, 2007 with a heartfelt program that featured the surprise announcement of the Dr. William S. Barnes Endowment Fund benefiting Shepherd's Hope.
Dr. Vipin Popat, Shepherd’s Hope volunteer doctor and chief of Internal Medicine with Physician Associates, was recognized as “Shepherd’s Hope Volunteer Doctor of the Year for 2006.”
Two of Shepherd’s Hope dedicated volunteer physicians were recognized at the Doctors’ Day Luncheon, held at Leu Gardens on March 30, 2006.
