Two of Shepherd’s Hope dedicated volunteer physicians were recognized at the Doctors’ Day Luncheon, held at Leu Gardens on March 30, 2006.
Dr. Rodney P. Dunaway, retired neurologist and volunteer at Hungerford Shepherd’s Hope Health Center since 2002, was recognized as “Shepherd’s Hope Volunteer Doctor of the Year.” Dr. Dunaway’s kind and caring spirit and his willingness to help whoever comes through the doors makes him truly deserving to be named “Volunteer Doctor of the Year.”
Dr. Christopher P. Crotty, dermatologist and volunteer for Special Care since 1996 and Shepherd’s Hope since 2003, was named “Primary Care Access Network (PCAN) Volunteer Doctor of the Year.” Dr. Crotty was recognized for his generosity with his time and talents. At Special Care, he treats serious dermatological problems and at Shepherd’s Hope, he sees patients with all kinds of illnesses. Dr. Crotty connects with patients on an individual and personal level and makes a difference…one patient at a time.
