Dr. Karl W. Isaacs was presented the 2006 Dr. Ruth McKeefery Volunteer of the Year Award at the Call to Hope Luncheon on April 24, 2007.
Dr. Karl W. Isaacs has been a faithful volunteer since the very first night we opened Westside Health Center in February 1997! He now volunteers at not just Westside but also at Hungerford Health Center.
Dr. Isaacs’ specialty is psychiatry and over the past ten years he has provided a ministry of bringing hope to many who suffer from mental health issues. He donates medication each month and works with pharmaceutical companies to get free medication for his patients.
He has exemplified a caring, loving spirit to all his patients and his patients love him and are willing to wait to get a special appointment to see him on his next scheduled time at the clinic.
In addition to recognizing Dr. Isaacs for his outstanding volunteer service, each health center recognized outstanding volunteer who provided exemplary service and had a positive impact on the operation of the clinic and the patients. The Health Center Volunteers of the Year for 2006 are:
